Update Time!!

Hello, you wonderful Scribblers!

With the RPG Writer’s Workshop, NaNoRiMo, and holidays right round the corner, I know it’s a busy time of year for you all! I wanted to take the time to share a couple of updates as I push through my own list of projects this week:

First and foremost, I want say THANK YOU!! Thanks to all of you and your support, I’ve reached the first milestone of 100 followers on Twitter and Instagram! Which not only means that the blog is going to keep going, but that three Scribblers have won custom one-shots to play at home with their friends and families! I’ve already started working with them to discover their favoured fables…now we’re in the outlining stage! This is a service that I hope to provide more regularly, in the future. So far we have a Steampunk Heist, Sci-Fantasy/Magi-Punk Quest, and a Horror-themed Adventure. Once they’re complete, I will post some brief descriptions of each one!

Second, if you haven’t seen it already, The Luminous Lake is complete!!! This is the flagship adventure in the Heroes of Iyastera series– originally created for the D&D Storytelling Workshops and Family One-Shots hosted by Heffers Cambridge— in which adventurers explore the mysteriously secluded village of Runda and discover why the fish seem to have disappeared from the lake. Here’s a sneak peak of the first page:

A lot of love went into this and it features some beautiful, exclusive illustrations from independent artists. If you’d like a copy of your own, check it out in the shop!

Speaking of shops…WE HAVE A SHOP NOW!! This is where you will be able to find family D&D adventures, workshop goodies, and eventually some other Scriv-y sundries! For the time being, however, The Luminous Lake is the only offering. I would love to expand but it’s expensive to maintain a shop in addition to the blog and workshop-related costs. If The Luminous Lake sells, however, then that will bring the funding we need to keep all the content going!

If you don’t want a copy of the Luminous Lake yourself, but still would like to support the blog, workshops, and Family D&D projects (to include the writing and illustrations for future adventures), I also have a ko-fi!! For the price of a cup of coffee, you can donate and keep those creative vibes going…a caffeinated Scriv is a happy Scriv, after all 😛

Finally, due to the plethora of projects on my plate, this week’s post is delayed…but I hope to complete it by tomorrow evening! I really want to stick to the promised weekly updates, so even if it is a tad late, it’ll still be there! This week’s post is going to be all about Nature Spirits and how we still spot them around the world today– next week we will alternate with another D&D topic!

That’s all for now…thank you again for all of your support. It means so much that you’ve all stuck with me as these projects and the blog expanded over the past few months! I’m excited to see where we go from here!
